CHAPTER SIXTEEN
THIS WAS not at all how Nick had imagined the night going, but there was no fucking way he was going to stop it.
Or stop Adam, as it were.
Nick gripped Adam’s wrist and pulled him close, brushing his lips against Adam’s, snaking out his tongue and tasting the mix of exotic spices on his lips. Nick slid his hand behind Adam’s neck and slanted his head, breathing into Adam’s mouth, feeding the absolute need building in his belly. He wanted to touch Adam everywhere all at once. He wanted to lick him, suck him, feel every twitching muscle, listen to Adam moan from just the touch of his mouth and fingertips.
Nick stood and set himself between Adam’s thighs, deepening the kiss, urging Adam’s legs farther apart. Adam grasped Nick’s hips, bringing their bodies tightly together. Nick kissed at the edges of Adam’s mouth, along the line of his cheekbone, then down his jaw, nipping at the skin of his neck.
Adam’s breath stuttered. “I haven’t even showered, Nick.”
“Like you like this,” Nick mumbled around kisses to Adam’s neck, inhaling the scent of him in. “Turpentine, sweat, cigarettes. Charcoal staining your fingers….” Nick drew back and kissed the tips of each of Adam’s fingers to make his point. “You’re fucking perfect, Adam.”
“I’m far from—” Adam started.
But Nick captured his lips into another kiss, lingering there in the softness of Adam’s mouth, putting his palms on Adam’s chest and feeling the ripple of lean muscles as Adam moved with him. He broke the kiss, leaned forward, and pecked Adam’s lips one more time. “You’re perfect to me.”
“Bedroom,” Adam replied without hesitation.
Nick smirked. “Definitely the bedroom.”
Without waiting, Nick put his hands under Adam’s ass and lifted him. Adam laughed and circled his legs around Nick’s waist. Adam licked up Nick’s neck and thrust his groin against Nick’s stomach, the line of Adam’s hardening cock unmistakable.
“You’re going to make me drop you if you keep doing that,” Nick chided him.
Adam circled his hips in response, grinding slowly against Nick.
“Did your bedroom fucking move farther away?” Nick sputtered as he tried to keep his balance, then decided fuck it and slammed Adam up against the wall, rutting against him and kissing him deeply.
Adam huffed out a long breath and thumped his head against the wall. He slid his fingers under Nick’s shirt and around his waist, dipping the tips just under the fabric of Nick’s jeans. “Take these off, Nick.”
“Bedroom first,” Nick ordered and lifted Adam with one arm, pushing the bedroom door open with the other. They fell onto the mattress kissing, laughing, Nick grinding them together hard until they were both panting.
“Too many fucking clothes,” Adam growled.
Nick swept Adam’s tee off him, the worn fabric ripping in the process, then lifted his own off. He dove back into a kiss immediately, needing to feel the warmth of Adam’s skin against his. That first press of bare skin to skin was dizzying. They were both already slick with sweat, chests heaving. Nick put his arms under Adam’s shoulders and moved him up the bed, then stood.
